The Big Thompson Conservation District is backed by the expertise and partnership of the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS). We are affiliated with NRCS and the local Field Office in Fort Collins, CO.

The NRCS provides technical assistance and cost-share options to local landowners to help conserve natural resources across the United States. If you think your land could benefit from assistance with your forest, crop, or range management, get in touch with BTCD or NRCS to learn more about our programs.

We partner with the Fort Collins Conservation District to implement our Healthy Forest Initiative across all of Larimer County. Our Conservation Foresters work collaboratively to help landowners restore their forests to a more resilient state.
